It is the fixed policy of Starr’s to use Organic & Demeter products whenever possible for the range of home made products, that are GMO free.

Products chilled, frozen or ambient are available for purchase, Organic or Demeter. Not to be found in every street corner ... supermarket!

Organic/Demeter growing and processing includes practices that maximise and enhance the nutritional quality of food and drink. Carcinogens, preservatives, hydrogenation, artificial sweeteners, flavours and colours, and other food grade chemicals and plastics are strictly prohibited. Pasteurisation, homogenisation, and high temperature processing is reduced or eliminated where possible.

Organic products come from producers that have been organic for 3 years whereas demeter/biodynamic products come from producers that have been organic for 20 years*.
*NB: This can change from country to country

We have a selective range of organic and demeter wines & beers, the selection changes regularly and a separate alcohol list is available. Our Voss water is the talk of all the best waters - from the glaciers in Norway.

Our home-made soups are gaining a reputation for their taste and variety, again the use of organic ingredients are vital to achieve the excellent flavours. The soup is prepared every day and changes Friday morning. Make sure and bring friends during the week of the same soup! See screens for soup of the week.
